In-Kitchen Benefits

  • Make a month's worth of meals in under two hours.
  • Easily customize meals for picky eaters or special diets.
  • Add variety to your dinner routine with our changing monthly menu.
In-Kitchen FAQ

In our Kitchen Sessions, each entrée serves a family of 4-6. If this is too large for your family, feel free to split entrées into two smaller servings. We provide both large and small pans in our kitchen and you are free to use whichever you prefer. Petite portions, serving a family of 2-3, are available in our Grab & Go section for pickup and delivery.
Our customers don’t think so. In fact, they often comment on how reasonable our prices are. Add the valuable time you save by not having to plan meals, shop for – and chop - ingredients, prepare the entrées, and clean up afterwards and Dinner Done is a real bargain!
Of course! Easily modify the recipes to suit the taste of your family in an In-Kitchen Session. If you like spicy foods, add more seasonings. Don’t like onions? Don’t put them in. If you'd like to modify a meal to better fit into your diet, we provide nutritional information as well as suggestions on how to make our entrées lower in fat or carbs wherever possible.
Yes. We use an assortment of disposable pans and freezer bags. Your entrées should fit in a standard freezer with no problem, with plenty of room left for the kids’ ice cream! It’s not a bad idea, however, to clean out your freezer before your Dinner Done session.
Many Dinner Done entrées go straight from the freezer to the oven, or are packaged specifically to be quick-thawed. If you prefer to thaw your dishes in advance, there are three safe ways to defrost food: in cold water, in the microwave or in the refrigerator. Thawing on the kitchen counter, or at room temperature is not a safe way of defrosting food.
We often have customers bring an older child to help make meals. If you’d like to prepare meals with a young child, we encourage you to schedule a parent/child private party with a group of friends, or join us for one of our monthly Mom & Me Sessions. A Dinner Done session with children is not only a great chance to spend time together, it's a proven way to get picky eaters to try new foods!
You are welcome to bringing a friend or partner to work in the kitchen with you. We do ask that no more than two people per reservation work together in the kitchen, and to help keep the kitchen comfortable for everyone in the session, you’ll be asked to work together at the same recipe station throughout the session. If you have any questions or concerns about this, feel free to contact us prior to your session.
Our In-Kitchen menu changes monthly and is always a mix of "old favorites" and new dishes. We love requests and suggestions, too, so please let us know if there's a dish you'd like to see repeated!
If you aren’t able to attend your In-Kitchen Session, we would be happy to reschedule you for another date or to change your order to include In-Store Pickup or Delivery service for an additional fee. Because food is pre-ordered based on session reservations, a two-day notice is required to change your Kitchen Session date. To change your order to include Pickup or Delivery service, simply call us on or before the day of your scheduled session.
